Grants open for application 1–31 March 2026
C. V. Åkerlund media foundation invites applications for grants for professionals working in the media sector and for those pursuing a career in media.
Grants are awarded for:
-
advanced professional studies for media professionals
-
university, higher education and vocational degrees in the media field
-
research and development projects related to the media sector
In addition to individual grants, applications may also be submitted by groups and work communities. Group applications follow a two-stage process, progressing from a concept paper to a full project proposal.
Grant for a Journalistic Non-Fiction Book
For the second time, the foundation will award one 1–2-year grant for the writing of a journalistic non-fiction book. The aim is to support timely and in-depth journalistic work.
The grant may be awarded to an applicant who has:
-
a realistic implementation plan
-
held discussions with a publisher
-
submitted a high-quality application demonstrating the journalistic value and significance of the work
Application guidelines
The application period is 1–31 March 2026.
