The C. V. Åkerlund Media Foundation funds projects that promote the vitality, research, competence, and pluralistic discussion in the media sector. In the March 2025 general grant call, the foundation awarded 26 grants—one of which was later declined by the recipient.
The second grant call of the year will take place in August 2025. Individual grants can only be applied for in March, while project proposals are accepted twice a year.
