Board decisions on the August project call and new idea papers
The C. V. Åkerlund media foundation’s Board met on 21 October 2025 to review the applications submitted in the August project call as well as new idea papers. The project applications were based on idea papers approved in the March call.
The Board decided to award a total of EUR 318,242 in grants to the following projects:
- From Journalist to Manager – University of Jyväskylä, budget EUR 212,742
- KUKA – National Press Illustration Archive Project – Association of Finnish Illustrators, budget EUR 105,500
The funded projects aim to strengthen competence and development in the Finnish media sector.
During the same meeting, the Board also reviewed 36 new idea papers, of which three were selected to proceed to the next stage for full project proposal preparation in March.
